Common Camas

Camassia Quamash spp. maxima

Common camas is historically one of the most important native food plant for indigenous communities throughout the Pacific Northwest. Common camas can be found growing naturally in open meadows around the Pacific Northwest and greater San Juan Islands.

Plants can be planted into newly seeded or mature wildflower meadows, lawns or garden beds. Camas blooms light to light to dark purple spring. The plants grow well in wet to semi dry soil and full to part sun.

Please note: Lummi Island and Downtown Bellingham pick up only. Please note your pick up location in your order.
